We use an example of Xiaomi Mi Band to show you how to connect a certain device that is not yet directly supported on the platform via either Apple HealthKit or Google Fit apps. Please note that we DO support Mi Band on inKin directly. This is only an example.
I. Connecting via Apple HealthKit
Step 1: open the Mi Fit app on your iPhone (download it from the store if needed) and create or log into your existing account.
Step 2: connect your Xiaomi device to the Mi Fit app.
Step 3: go to the Sources tab on your Apple HealthKit app and make sure you've given all the permissions to Mi Fit app.
Make sure Mi Fit is on top of your sources list:
Open Health app -> Health Data tab -> Activity-> Steps -> Data sources & access
Tap the edit button at the TOP right. Then sort the data sources so that MI FIT is at the top of the list above everything else. Make sure Mi Fit also has the red check mark next to it."
II. Connecting via Google Fit app
IMPORTANT: inKin syncs with Google Fit every hour. But it's advisable to synchronize it manually between 23:00-24:00 before the day is changed.
