We use an example of Xiaomi Mi Band to show you how to connect a certain device that is not yet directly supported on the platform via either Apple HealthKit or Google Fit apps.
I. Connecting via Apple HealthKit
Step 1: Open the Mi Fit app on your iPhone(download it from the store if needed) and create or log into your existing account.
Step 2: Connect your Xiaomi device to the Mi Fit app.
Step 3: Go to the Sources tab on your Apple HealthKit app and make sure you've given all the permissions to Mi Fit app.
Make sure Mi Fit has access to your data and is on top of your sources list:
Open Health app -> Browse -> Activity-> Steps -> Data Sources & Access
For each of the metrics that you are tracking, make sure to go to the metric, for example, steps, scroll all the way down to Data Sources & Access, scroll all the way down to Data Sources and make sure MiFit is on top.
II. Connecting via Google Fit app (This method is advised for Android phones only)
IMPORTANT: inKin syncs with Google Fit every hour. Make sure to open Google Fit every day to ensure it has been synchronized with MiFit app.
Step 1: Download Mi Fit app on Google Play.
Step 2: Download Google Fit app on Google Play.
Step 3: Open Google Fit app and fill in all required fields.
Step 4: Open Mi Fit app and create an account or log into your existing one.
Step 5: Connect your Mi Band to Mi Fit app if it's not already connected.
Step 6: Click on the Profile tab on your Mi Fit app.
Step 7: Click on Add Accounts to connect your Mi Fit app to Google Fit app.
Step 8: Click on Google Fit to connect your Mi Fit app to Google Fit app.
Step 9: Choose the Google account you want to connect to. Make sure that it is the same Google account with which you are logged into your Google Fit app.
Step 10: Open your Google Fit app, click on the Profile tab --> Settings --> Manage Connected apps --> Mi Fit logo will appear there.
Step 11: Make sure that Track Your Activities switcher is turned off.
Step 12: Open your inKin mobile app or desktop version. Click on Devices page and choose Google Fit.
Step 13: Don't forget to choose Google Fit as your data source on the Metrics page.
REMINDER: Make sure to open Google Fit every day to ensure it has been synchronized with MiFit app.
